Published by The National Telemedia Council in Madison, Wisconsin, Telemedium: The Journal of Media Literacy represents an independent and interdisciplinary perspective on media literacy.

If you are troubled by media literacy organizations that seek or accept corporate funding, you can be comfortable joining NTC and supporting the journal. NTC does not accept corporate funding.

The organization co-sponsored the first National Media Literacy Conference in 1995, held at North Carolina's Appalachian State University.
